Toronto Raptors History

During the early 1990s, the NBA undertook a re-expansion into the country of Canada, granting an expansion team to the city of Toronto in 1993. In 2003, the franchise acquired Chris Bosh in a high lottery draft pick and its performance once again improved. In 2007, Bosh led the Raptors to its first division title. The team once again struggled after that time and began rebuilding, acquiring some excellent young players.
