The Jersey Boys chronicles the life and times of one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, The Four Seasons. After the successful run on Broadway, the show spawned offshoots in Chicago, Las Vegas, London and Melbourne, Australia. The album that was recorded from the score of the play was released in 2005 and by 2009 it had gone Platinum by selling over one million copies in the United States alone. In late 2010, there was talk of a movie being made based on the play by GK Films who would partner with Rick Elise and Marshall Brickman, who were commissioned to write the script.

Many of the cast members have been active in charitable organizations as a whole. Their time has been dedicated to performing at charity functions such as Broadway Cares and the VH1 Save the Music Foundation. The West End cast in London performed for members of the Royal Family to raise donations for Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund. To date, the cast has raised $43,521 for the VH1 charity and the funds were used to restore a complete music program at a Bronx school.
